During these evenings, exceptional wines from the prestigious French wine region of Bordeaux take center stage. Each Monday features a changing Bordeaux theme, ranging from a specific vintage to a remarkable subregion. Wine lovers get the chance to taste exclusive wines that are currently at their optimal drinking moment.<\/p>\n<p>2 minutes read<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3><strong>The chance to taste a unique Bordeaux grand cru<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Think, for example, of a unique grand cru from Bordeaux, such as a Ch\u00e2teau Lafite Rothschild from 1999 or a special wine from Ch\u00e2teau Margaux. Normally, these wines are only available by the bottle and are therefore less accessible. During Bordeaux Mondays at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/bisous__official\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">restaurant Bisous<\/a>, these exceptional wines are served by the glass for a prix d\u2019ami, allowing guests to easily discover some of the finest wines Bordeaux has to offer.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>A different Bordeaux theme every Monday<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Last Monday, for instance, the small wine region of Pomerol took center stage, featuring wines that are very scarce and praised for their velvety structure and deep complexity. On March 9, gems from the 2006 vintage will be opened, including wines from Ch\u00e2teau Gruaud Larose, Ch\u00e2teau Palmer, and Ch\u00e2teau Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande. Monday March 15 will be dedicated to beautiful Grand Crus, including Ch\u00e2teau Lafite Rothschild (1999), Ch\u00e2teau Latour (1998), and Ch\u00e2teau Margaux (2004).<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Ma\u00eetre-sommelier Erwin Walthaus on Bordeaux Mondays<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>\u201cWe have gained access to a wine cellar that will leave you speechless. Do you have a personal favorite? Have you been dreaming for years of that one ch\u00e2teau? Or would you like to taste a specific vintage by the glass? Let us know \u2013 and who knows, we might open your favorite on a Monday,\u201d says sommelier Erwin Walthaus.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>New menu and weekly Chef\u2019s Menu<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>During Bordeaux Mondays, Kooijman creates a main course that perfectly pairs with red Bordeaux wines. Co-owner Bas Noorman explains: \u201cA beautiful glass of Bordeaux costs between \u20ac20 and \u20ac170 on Mondays; the highest price applies, for example, to a grand cru from the 1990s. We deliberately keep our margin low because we want to make Bordeaux wines better known and loved again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Head Chef Thomas Kooijman will introduce a renewed menu at the beginning of March featuring both beloved Bisous classics and new dishes. Also new is the weekly changing Chef\u2019s Menu, consisting of three courses for \u20ac55.
