A modern architectural masterpiece designed by the late Richard Rogers and Ivan Harbour, The Emory is London\u2019s first all-suite hotel and the latest opening by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/maybournehotelgroup\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maybourne<\/a>, operator of Claridge\u2019s, The Connaught and The Berkeley, and other international, prestigious outposts.<\/p>\n<p><em>We enjoyed our dinner at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/abcvnyc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">abcV<\/a> in the Tin Building in New York last year and loved their vegan cuisine, the menu of the other concepts of abc kitchens sounds delicious as well! ^Robin<\/em><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>2 minutes read<\/p>\n<h3><strong>The exclusive UK restaurant of Jean-Georges Vongerichten<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/abckitchens.london\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">abc kitchens<\/a> will be the exclusive UK restaurant of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/chefjgv\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jean-Georges Vongerichten\u2019s <\/a>celebrated trilogy from New York \u2013 abc kitchen, abcV and abc cocina &#8211; all sitting under one roof for the very first time. Vongerichten\u2019s original abc kitchen has proudly been a stalwart of New York\u2019s dining scene since 2010. Though the three restaurants showcase different culinary offerings (farm-to-table fare, plant-based, and Latin-inspired, respectively), they share the same philosophy: a passionate commitment to fresh, organic, sustainable, and ethically sourced local produce.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>On abc kitchens menu will be\u2026<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Vongerichten\u2019s cuisine abandons the traditional use of meat stocks and creams and instead features the intense flavours and textures from vegetable juices, fruit essences, light broths, and herbal vinaigrettes. abc kitchens\u2019 menu will reflect this approach and showcase Vongerichten\u2019s creative and forward-thinking, plant-focused dishes, tonics, and cocktails, celebrating the best of mother nature.<\/p>\n<p>abc kitchens will present ingredient-led menus focusing on seasonality, with a supplier-specific approach to sourcing the finest quality food. Highlights from the versatile menu include New York signatures Crab Toast with green chilli, dill and lemon aioli, Crispy Fish Tacos served with aioli and cabbage-apple slaw, and Char-Grilled Beef Tenderloin served with chimichurri and lime. The drinks menu has been created to complement the food, with a market availability approach to ingredients. Highlights include a Cucumber Martini and a Pomegranate Mezcalita.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Executive Head Chef of abc kitchens will be Ben Boeynaems<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Overseeing the menu under Vongerichten\u2019s stewardship will be Executive Head Chef <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/chefbenb\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ben Boeynaems<\/a>. After working in some of London\u2019s most distinguished kitchens for the likes Gordon Ramsey and Eric Chavot, including most recently at The Beamont Hotel, Ben brings a refined yet approachable style of classical cookery. Mike Walker will be at the helm as Restaurant General Manager after a 10-year career operating leading bars and restaurants, across the capital and further afield.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>The interiors<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The interiors of abc kitchens at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/theemorylondon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Emory<\/a> have been designed by the renowned R\u00e9mi Tessier and play on the progressive architectural spirit of the building and its pared-down aesthetic. Rich and high-quality materials meet comfortable furnishings to complement the striking glass fa\u00e7ade of the building which overlooks Hyde Park, with a dining space that feels both fresh and familiar. The &#8216;wine cave&#8217; fixture, an amber glass masterpiece, serves as an oversized glowing lantern housing a curated selection of wines. Guests will dine amongst artworks by Damien Hirst, adding vibrant colour to the overall decoration.
