It is an initiative of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Thailand and part of the three days of Thai National Day festivities. The event is part of Thai Kitchen to the World, a long-term project promoting Thai cuisine, gastronomy and ingredients worldwide.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>1 minute read<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Thai Kitchen to the World | National Day Thailand<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The Royal Thai Embassy has invited Keng Vichianrat to return to the Netherlands to host a 4-hands dinner with British-Dutch chef Chris Naylor, among other events. The event is part of Thai Kitchen to the World, a long-term project promoting Thai cuisine, gastronomy and ingredients worldwide. &#8216;By fusing the cuisines of Vichianrat and Naylor, Thai cuisine will not only be better understood, but also taken to a higher gastronomic level,&#8217; says organiser Pasuwat Yathip of the Thai Embassy.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Keng Vichianrat now cooks at restaurant Cave I.O., his own restaurant in Bangkok<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Keng Vichaianrat came to the Netherlands as a child with his parents, where he became a chef. He cooked at restaurant La Rive in Amsterdam for 10 years, eventually as Chef de Cuisine, and picked up several international culinary awards. In 2018, he returned to Thailand, where his fame included being a finalist in the television program Iron Chef Thailand. Having been Chef de Cuisine at Michelin restaurant Elements, inspired by Ciel Blue, he now runs his own creative restaurant <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/cave.io\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cave I.O.<\/a> in Bangkok, where he brings back the primal cuisine of millions of years ago.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Keng X Chris | 4-hands dinner<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The culinary activities start on 4 December with a reception for the Corps Diplomatique, offered by the Royal Thai Embassy, at Hotel Des Indes in The Hague. The next day, the 4-hands dinner will take place at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/restaurantvermeer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Restaurant Vermeer<\/a> and on 7 December, Keng Vichianrat will provide a cooking demonstration during the Christmas Shopping Night for expats and internationals at Sligro Den Haag Forepark. A limited number of spots are available for Keng X Chris 4 hands-dinner.
