Mid-January 2023, chef Terry Priem and Esther van Otterloo opened their Restaurant STER at the Honingerdijk 265. The fine-dining restaurant, located on the former site of restaurant Fred, is the second business of the couple, who also own Gastrobar STER. Guests can enjoy high-level cuisine with bold flavour combinations. Graffiti art and azure table tops make the interior cool and exciting.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>2 minutes read<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Terry Priem about Restaurant STER<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>After soft opening for groups from mid-December 2022, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/restaurant_ster\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Restaurant STER<\/a> officially opened in mid-January 2023. Sixty guests can enjoy high-level cuisine there. Terry Priem: &#8220;Here we cook next level if you compare it to the gastrobar and at a level like I haven&#8217;t done anywhere else. What remains is my signature of harmonious flavours and colours on the plate, as well as the cool and playful atmosphere. My head chef is Nino Koster, who has been sous-chef at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/gastrobar_ster\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gastrobar STER<\/a> for many years and who previously worked at restaurant \u2018Aan de Zweth\u2019. Sous chef is Joe Liem, who previously also worked at \u2018Aan de Zweth\u2019 and restaurant \u2018De Burgemeester\u2019 in Linschoten. &#8221;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Lots of menu choices, including vegetarian<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The menu offers plenty of choice, including an \u00e0 la carte section. Besides a chef&#8217;s menu, there is a vegetarian menu and a menu with more exclusive ingredients such as caviar and truffle. All dishes in the menus are described, so guests know in advance what they will be served. There is also an \u00e0 la carte menu and a lunch menu.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Interior with blue accents and graffiti for Restaurant STER<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The interior has been restyled with blue colour accents. Esther van Otterloo: &#8220;Eyecatchers are the blue columns in the restaurant, the azure epoxy tabletops and the colourful flower bouquets. Graffiti runs like a thread through Terry&#8217;s life and is incorporated in the large eye-catching wall artwork and in the VIP table. This table, at which up to 12 people can eat, incorporates tags written by Terry for the crowd funders. The name STER was chosen at the time because it was Terry&#8217;s signature in his graffiti days. His graffiti signature has been incorporated into the logo of both businesses and appears in many places.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Bolgheri wine list with Super Tuscans <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Distinctive in wine terms is the Bolgheri wine list with Super Tuscans. This features wines from the Tuscan wine region of Bolgheri, from top domains. Besides many red wines, this menu also offers white and ros\u00e9 wines, some of which are also available by the glass. Esther van Otterloo: &#8220;As Bolgheri fans, this was a long-held wish that we were able to fulfil here. We will keep expanding this menu in the future. On our regular wine list, prices start at \u20ac40 and most wines stay under \u20ac100. Champagne de Venoge is our house champagne and we are proud to have been allowed to join the Club des Princes de Venoge, of which only six Dutch restaurants are members. Another attraction is the cheese trolley made especially for us, designed by an idea by our fromager Jacqueline Kooij.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Restaurant STER will be open from Tuesday to Friday for lunch and dinner in the coming months, and on Saturdays for dinner only.
