On May 13, 14 and 15, Birds Festivalk takes place at House of Bird – the official tasting room of Bird Brewery – at the Diemerbos. The entire area of 5,000m2 will be transformed into a free Festivalk for young and old for three days. Expect lots of music, foodtrucks, tastings, nature excursions, lounge spots, a silent disco, children’s theatre, live DJ’s, an air cushion and much more creativity!<\/p>\n

Birds Festivalk | Celebrating the opening ‘House of Bird’ in the Diemerbos<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In 2020, House of Bird <\/a>– the official tasting room of Bird Brewery <\/a>– opened its doors during the first corona wave. “This is the first opportunity for us to celebrate this opening in a truly grand manner,” says co-founder Rik van den Berg. “For three days we will take everyone into the world of Bird. That means a lot of creativity, good food and drinks and plenty to do.”<\/p>\n

Free admission <\/strong><\/h3>\n

The festival grounds open at 10.00 in the morning on all days and admission is free. “By not asking an entrance fee, everyone can come and walk in, that feels very relaxed and fits completely with our idea of the Festivalk”, explains co-founder Teun IJff. “So you don’t have to book in advance, but for\u00a0 early birds there is an Early Bird deal through our site. There you can buy your festival glass – everyone needs these – and tokens at a discount, like this we can make a better estimate of how many people we can expect. A win-win.”<\/p>\n

What to expect?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The full program is not yet complete, more will be announced in the coming weeks. “There are already a number of special beer tastings to be booked in our brew lab and soon we will announce several nature excursions and a youth theatre performance. Furthermore, it goes without saying that there are all kinds of bars with lots of special beers on tap,” Ralph van Bemmel explains. “There will also be live music every day, lots of food stands, silent disco, air cushion, painting birdhouses, building huts, outdoor games, lounge areas and much more. We’re really going to make it something insanely great!”<\/p>\n

About the Festivalk<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Bird Festivalk is organized on the grounds of the House of Bird tasting room at the Diemerbos. It opens all days at 10.00 o\u2019clock and will continue on Friday and Saturday until 00.30 o\u2019clock. Sunday 14 May, the Festivalk ends at 20.00 o\u2019clock.
