But there are more types of ice cream that are gaining attention, such as the Japanese Mochi ice cream, ice cream made from pickles and so\u00a0<\/span>on.\u00a0<\/span>We listed a top 10\u00a0<\/span>i<\/span>ce cream inspiration ideas<\/span>!\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

1. Mochi<\/span><\/b><\/h3>\n

This Japanese ice cream dish is made<\/span>\u00a0of mochi dough, a sweet and sticky dough\u00a0<\/span>based on Japanese glutinous rice,\u00a0<\/span>stretched, rolled and wrapped around scoops of ice scream.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The nice thing is that it is a\u00a0<\/span>rather\u00a0<\/span>small\u00a0<\/span>portion<\/span>\u00a0and that you can taste multiple\u00a0<\/span>flavours<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Mochi<\/span>\u00a0ice scream is<\/span>\u00a0now<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>being<\/span>\u00a0sold<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>by<\/span>\u00a0various\u00a0<\/span>Dutch\u00a0<\/span>wholesalers<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0such as\u00a0<\/span>Asian Food Lovers<\/span><\/a>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/b>2. Savoury<\/span><\/b>, sour or pickled ice cream<\/span><\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n

Lucky Pickle Dumpling Co.<\/span><\/a>\u00a0New York<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>has<\/span>\u00a0experiment<\/span>ed<\/span>\u00a0with pickles<\/span>. W<\/span>hat do you think<\/span>\u00a0about ice cream with pickle\u00a0<\/span>flavour<\/span>? Th<\/span>is<\/span>\u00a0new\u00a0<\/span>variation<\/span>\u00a0was created by the same\u00a0<\/span>people<\/span>\u00a0that\u00a0<\/span>were<\/span>\u00a0behind\u00a0<\/span>Jakobs<\/span>\u00a0Pickles, a restaurant located on NYC’s Upper West Side on Amsterdam Avenue. Nowadays, every self-respecting ice cream\u00a0<\/span>shop<\/span>\u00a0has vegan\u00a0<\/span>options<\/span>\u00a0with\u00a0<\/span>dairy cream\u00a0<\/span>alternative<\/span>s<\/span>\u00a0such as coconut<\/span>\u00a0or almond<\/span>. One of the<\/span>se<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>brands<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>is\u00a0<\/span>Professor\u00a0<\/span>Grundschnabel’s<\/span><\/a>\u00a0ice cream<\/span>, which we wrote about in 2012!<\/span><\/p>\n

4. Organic ice cream popsicles | No guilt, just pleasure<\/span><\/b><\/h3>\n

I<\/span><\/i>t continues to thrive on Instagram and\u00a0<\/span><\/i>TikTok<\/span><\/i>\u00a0and<\/span><\/i>\u00a0we think that each\u00a0<\/span><\/i>ice cream parlour<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/i>would like to\u00a0<\/span><\/i>welcome<\/span><\/i>\u00a0Gen<\/span><\/i>\u00a0Z<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/i>in their<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/i>shop<\/span><\/i>\u00a0this summer!<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

<\/b>6. S<\/span><\/b>culp<\/span><\/b>ting<\/span><\/b>ice<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

7. Cool ways to serve coffee in combination with ice<\/span><\/b><\/h3>\n

In 2016\u00a0<\/span>#coffeeinacone<\/span><\/a>\u00a0was a hype on Instagram, but of course it remains a special way to serve coffee! And you can count on these\u00a0<\/span>trends<\/span>\u00a0to thrive on your social media channels. In 2017<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0we even had a pop-up<\/span>\u00a0shop<\/span>\u00a0of\u00a0<\/span>‘The Cone Masters<\/a>‘<\/span>\u00a0in Amsterdam with #coffeeinacone in various\u00a0<\/span>flavours<\/span>. Generation Z does not seem to be crazy about the bitterness of, for example, espresso that is used for this, but as an ice cream\u00a0<\/span>shop<\/span>\u00a0you can also serve very cool mini cones with a mini scoop of ice with your coffee<\/a><\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>But you can also sell these mini ice cream cones<\/span>\u00a0f<\/span>or children<\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>people who like to enjoy a smaller portion<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/b>8. Freakshakes<\/span><\/b>and pie shakes<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

What we have not spotted\u00a0<\/span>yet\u00a0<\/span>in the Netherlands\u00a0<\/span>is the\u00a0<\/span>pie<\/span>\u00a0shake<\/span><\/a>. A slice of\u00a0<\/span>pie<\/span>, a large scoop of ice cream and\u00a0<\/span>you can create\u00a0<\/span>a\u00a0<\/span>shake<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>in the pie flavour\u00a0<\/span>of your<\/span>\u00a0choice<\/span>. We made it at\u00a0<\/span>our<\/span>\u00a0office at the time<\/span>\u00a0we wrote about it<\/span>\u00a0and most colleagues\u00a0<\/span>loved it.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/b>9. Combination of<\/span><\/b>ice cream\u00a0<\/span><\/b>and<\/span><\/b>\u00a0alcohol | cocktail\u00a0<\/span><\/b>flavours<\/span><\/b>\u00a0&<\/span><\/b>\u00a0beer ice cream<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n
