\u2018The BrewDog AF Bar\u2019 is the brewery’s first fully alcohol-free bar. Independent Scottish craft brewer BrewDog have opened their first bar dedicated to alcohol-free. The BrewDog AF Bar is the world\u2019s first alcohol free beer bar and will offer 15 taps of draft alcohol-free craft beer. The bar has opened in central London and will be the first of the company\u2019s global bars to feature a line-up solely devoted to drinks without alcohol. In addition to this, BrewDog will be running \u2018Drink All You Can Jan\u2019 across all bars. The initiative offers drinkers unlimited refills of BrewDog alcohol-free beers in all bars for the entire month. And with 24% of beer drinkers choosing more low or no-alcohol options (according to the Mintel, UK Beer Market Report 2018), the brewery are piloting a new concept for their bar division, with a view to rolling it out across the UK and into Europe.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s the time for alcohol free drinks: in the Netherlands we spotted amongst others the first pop-up Bar 0.020 in Amsterdam and the new menu for alcohol free drinks at NRC caf\u00e9 in Rotterdam. With Dry January it\u2019s wise to serve your guests at least the possibility to drink alcohol free. Our colleagues Robin, Nick and Leonie tried some drinks last week and they were kind of surprised on the sweetness of most mocktails! So if you\u2019re buying or creating alcohol free drinks, not everybody has a sweet tooth! \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

The BrewDog AF Bar <\/strong><\/h3>\n

The BrewDog AF Bar<\/a> opened on Monday 6th January and is located in the Mews Unit of the Bower Development at 211 Old Street, EC1V 9NR. The demand for and popularity of alcohol-free beer is increasing; Market Research organization Mintel have reported 28% of beer drinkers are cutting back on consumption because of health concerns and recent analysis by EeBria Trade has noted sales of low and no-alcohol beers have risen 381% since 2017 in their EeBriaTrade Craft Beer Trends, 2019.<\/p>\n

BrewDog pioneered low-alcohol beers in the UK with the release of Nanny State in August 2009, which is the UK\u2019s best-selling alcohol-free craft beer. The brewery has since followed it up with the alcohol-free version of their flagship Punk IPA, Punk AF, which has also become the #1 NPD product for Total Craft beer this year according the Nielsen Scantrack Total Off-Trade MAT to 30.11.19. BrewDog is also expanding its core range of alcohol-free beers with two tasty new additions. \u2018Wake Up Call\u2019, a Coffee Stout and Hazy AF, an alcohol-free take on its existing New England IPA, \u2018Hazy Jane\u2019 join Nanny State and Punk AF.<\/p>\n

The BrewDog AF Bar will be serving all of these beers alongside others, with 15 taps of draft alcohol-free craft beer along with alcohol-free spirits and Designated Cider, the new alcohol free Cider from Hawkes. The bar will also offer a mouth-watering range of burgers, salads and Buffalo wings and a series of healthy specials. Brunch will also be on offer at weekends. Visitors to the bar will be able to take part in a programme of on-going activities including Hip Hop Karaoke, Dabbers Bingo, Famous First Words and other partners yet to be announced.<\/p>\n

\u2018Drink All You Can Jan\u2019<\/strong><\/h3>\n

To showcase the new range of alcohol-free beers, BrewDog have announced \u2018Drink all you can Jan\u2019 an initiative that will see all of its Bars offering free refills of all alcohol-free beers throughout January.<\/p>\n

James Watt, Captain of BrewDog, said: \u201cDrinkers opting for low or no alcohol are in danger of compromising on quality, taste and experience. And that\u2019s just the beer \u2013 forget about places in which to enjoy it. We are going to change that. We exist to be a point of difference, and our first BrewDog AF Bar is just that. It is a beacon for anyone in London after an alcohol-free alternative. Alcohol free does not need to be synonymous with taste-free. \u2018Drink all you can Jan\u2019 is our anti Dry January.
