One side effect of chemotherapy is altered taste: cancer patients often find that their sense of taste changes significantly, or may even temporarily disappear. The Life Kitchen\u2019s three-hour classes teach attendees how to cook meals that are designed to be more enjoyable for those with an altered sense of taste. Classes are free to those suffering from cancer. Spotted via <a href=\"https:\/\/trendwatching.com\/#\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><u>the daily dose of inspiration by Trendwatching<\/u><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>As I know from my own experience that it\u2019s awful to live on prefabricated, very sweet, drinks after cancer surgery, I think this is a wonderful possibility to learn more about adapting food to your possibilities! Back in 2012 we wrote about the Dutch initiative<a href=\"https:\/\/www.beleefjesmaak.nl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> \u2018Beleef je smaak\u2019 <\/a>(experience your taste), they provide recipes etc. for cancer patients.\u00a0 ^Marjolein<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Hotel.Pulitzer.Amsterdam\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>World Travel Awards: Pulitzer Amsterdam wins Netherlands\u2019 Leading Hotel 2019<\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n<p>Pulitzer Amsterdam is awarded as best Dutch hotel. The award was handed out for the 26<sup>th<\/sup> time at the World Travel Awards during the annual ceremony, this year held at Madeira. The World Travel Awards is considered to be one of the most prestigious admissions within the tourism branch. The international jury, consisting of travelling professionals and guests from the high-end segment,\u00a0 rated the hotels on excellence and quality of products and services. Earlier, Pulitzer Amsterdam won an international admission, among which the well desired Gold List: 20 Best Hotels in the World 2018, AHEAD Sleeper Best Renovation &amp; Restoration Award Europe and Travel + Leisure It-List in 2017.<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/www.springwise.com\/south-korean-mall-uses-exterior-lighting-to-indicate-air-pollution-levels\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>South Korea mall uses exterior lighting to indicate the levels of fine dust pollution.<\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n<p>Spotted at the website of Springwise: The Seoul-based Hanwha Galleria shopping mall is using media art installed on its exterior to inform pedestrians of fine-dust levels. The feature shows red colour when fine-dust pollution\u00a0 levels are high and green when levels are low. They already had installed a \u2018animated led lights system\u2019 which is being used in another way.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pulitzeramsterdam.com\/pulitzer-pride\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Pulitzer Pride<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Saturday, the third of August the Amsterdam Pride Canal Parade takes place right in front of the Pulitzer Amsterdam. In honour of the Canal Parade, Pultizer opens a 30 meters long pontoon at the Prinsengracht right in front of the Pulitzer hotel. From here guests will have the unique opportunity to watch the decorated boats passing by, and to celebrate you can be whoever you want to be and love whoever you want to love. There will be a cocktail bar at the pontoon and the will serve wines from Austria, from the wine estate Kracher. All kind of food will be served with a lot of Dutch specialties like our famous \u2018bitterballen\u2019 and apple pie.<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/www.alizila.com\/starbucks-freshippo-bring-star-kitchen-to-beijing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Starbucks opened its third delivery-focused \u2018Star Kitchen\u2019 in Beijing<\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.horecatrends.com\/en\/trends-we-spotted-week-34-2018\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><u>In 2018 we wrote in our \u201cTrends we spotted\u201d <\/u><\/a>about the Starbucks\u2019 cooperation with the Alibaba Group. Our Dutch restaurant \u2018De Librije\u2019 by Jonnie and Th\u00e9r\u00e8se Boer finished on number 46. But more interesting, for the first time, the organization announced a new list: \u2018The Best of The Best\u2019 list with previous winners like, Massimo Bottura, Daniel Humm, Ferran Adria, The Roca Brothers, Thomas Keller, Rene Redzepi and Heston Blumenthal.
