With this week again a selection of 3 videos which our colleague<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/vera-rauwerda-104133166\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Vera Rauwerda<\/a> thinks are worth watching.<\/p>\n<p>This week videos about a group of Filipino men, they collect bird nests from caves and make soup from them. And a video about the traditional olive oil from Italy and how this is made. Finally, a video about several types of fruit and vegetables that you probably haven\u2019t heard of before!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3><strong>A dangerous soup | Caviar of the caves<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The men in this video are from the Philippines and risk their lives every day to collect nests from a certain type of bird. It\u2019s called \u2018caviar of the caves\u2019 and restaurants make the famous and expensive \u2018bird nests\u2019- soup from it. The work is very dangerous because these nests are located in small caves. The role of a \u2018nest gatherer\u2019 is passed on from generation to generation. He has developed various types of fruit and vegetables that you probably have never heard of before. Such as the ice plant, white strawberries, oca, mahua and Butterfly sorrel. Aaron gets a lot of enthusiastic reaction of chefs. We recognized some of the products (like the white strawberries) but from some we never heard!
