Chef Andr\u00e9 Chiang will create a special organic vegan tasting menu in collaboration with fifteen artists who will craft custom cutlery and tableware especially for the occasion. Experimental Gastronomy is an unique immersive experience that brings together acclaimed chefs and artists to create an exciting and radically different way of enjoying food.<!--more--><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Andr\u00e9 Chiang<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>One of the most talented, driven and competitive cooks in the world, Andr\u00e9 Chiang has been searching for perfection for the entire course of his near 30-year career. Recently awarded Lifetime Achievement Award, his flagship Restaurant Andr\u00e9 reached No.2 in Asia\u2019s50 Best Restaurants, No.14 in The World\u2019s 50 Best Restaurants and has 2 Michelin stars. Chef Andr\u00e9 has researched how our capacity to taste food is influenced by our memory, through the personal experiences we acquire over time. This has led him to develop the culinary principle, <em>Octaphilosophy<\/em>, based on eight primary characteristics: Unique, Texture, Memory, Pure, Terroir, Salt, South and Artisan, the backbone of his creative process. For Experimental Gastronomy he will serve a plant-based (vegan) menu created entirely with ingredients sourced from organic and biodynamic producers found in the Benelux, France and Germany.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Experimental Gastronomy | Steinbeisser x Andr\u00e9 Chiang<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Why do we eat the way that we do and are there other options? With this question in mind Steinbeisser explores new ways to eat mindfully. Fifteen artists will work with us to seek answers by creating new kinds of cutlery and dishware that disrupt the conventions of dining. These unique pieces made from materials such as clay, cotton, metal, paper, and wood, will enrich the dining experience in the most unexpected way. The artworks will be exclusively for sale at the dinners and on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.horecatrends.com\/en\/unique-cutlery-for-your-restaurant\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">jouwstore.com<\/a>. Surrounded by water, with the encroaching city in the background, the stately Gemeenlandshuis Amsterdam seems made for the culinary experiment of Steinbeisser. Where once the dike earls gathered, visitors are now invited to feel at home in a setting that we mainly know from films. All your senses are stimulated by this cross-pollination of gastronomy, art, design and architecture.
