On 28th July, Ceviche Old St, Martin Morales\u2019 award-winnning Peruvian restaurant, music venue and art gallery in the heart of East London, is throwing open the doors and pouring out the pisco sours for the Peru Independence Day Fiesta. Martin will bring together the diverse flavours of coastal Peru, the mountainous Andes, and cosmopolitan capital Lima for a celebratory feast, with DJs including Martin himself manning the decks late into the evening.<\/p>\n

This is how Martin Morales from restaurant Ceviche throws a fiesta<\/h3>\n

Kicking off at 6pm on 28th July till late, the feast will feature Ceviche\u2019s<\/a> greatest hits and Peru\u2019s absolute classics such as Ceviche Clasico, Nikkei ceviche and Anticucho beef skewers in a Panca chilli marinade. Sitting elbow to elbow, guests can chose larger plates including Lomo Saltado, Seafood CauCau, a stew of king prawns, squid, mussels, and potato, and Pollo a la Brasa, a marinated (secret recipe) rotisserie chicken with Amarillo chilli salsa. Streetfood classics like \u2018tamal\u2019 steamed dumplings with choclo corn succotash and sweet kale pesto, and Adobo, tender pork chops cooked Ayacucho-style. Andina Bakery<\/a>, Martin\u2019s Peruvian bakery and the first of it\u2019s kind outside of South America, will bake their crusty pan franc\u00e8s rolls for Chicharro\u0301n pork sandwiches, as well as Picarones, sweet potato and pumpkin doughnuts, and Alfajores, round cookies sandwiched together with dulce de leche. It wouldn\u2019t be a fiesta without pisco: cocktails on hand include the Arriba Peru pisco sour, and the Toro Mata, with coffee infused pisco, Fair quinoa vodka and espresso, as well as bottles of Peru\u2019s favourite soft fizz, Inca Kola.
\nSpinning tunes and keeping the party going into the night will be Martin himself, as well as DJ Carlitos Ni\u00f1o from the Latinos in London and Arriba la Cumbia collectives, playing Peruvian, Latin, mambo and salsa beats. Tables can be reserved at oldst@cevicheuk.com.<\/p>\n
