A Gentleman\u2019s Afternoon Tea at the Swan Shakespeare\u2019s Globe in London, part of \u2018A Midsummer Night\u2019s Dream Afternoon Tea\u2019. Instead of the regular choices of tea and a glass of champagne they \u00a0serve the tea as well but also a tankard of Hobday Smoked Brown Ale and more savoury choices of small bites. Inspiration for all those restaurants serving afternoon teas!<\/p>\n

Gentleman\u2019s Afternoon Tea<\/h3>\n

We have tried it before at different locations: an afternoon tea. With kids it\u2019s a festive happening, especially in London! My husband always loves the champagne, eats the savouries and scones but doesn\u2019t like all the sweets. And sorry everybody in England, he doesn\u2019t always like the tea: \u201cno tea, thanks I\u2019m not ill\u201d. But we persuaded him to join us for \u2018A Midsummer Night\u2019s Dream Afternoon Tea\u2019! We drank our tea, ate the savouries and the sweets and he enjoyed his Gentleman\u2019s Tea<\/a>. This tea included a 4 oz Shorthorn beef slider, blue cheese & cider scones, Scotch Legbar egg, Fish finger sandwich, Croque Monsieur and Potted smoked salmon. Another plus for the ladies: instead of the glass of champagne you could drink a \u2018Love Potion\u2019 cocktail as well.<\/p>\n

About the Swan Shakespeare\u2019s Globe<\/h3>\n
