You only need to deliver your necktie Friday 7 July at Van Zanten caf\u00e9, \u2018een tappie voor een dassie\u2019 (Dutch slang meaning \u2018a draft for a necktie\u2019). For those who have to work before the summer holiday starts, come and exchange a tie for a glass of ice cold beer to celebrate the fact that we have fewer traffic jams the coming weeks!<\/p>\n

\u2018A draft for a necktie\u2019<\/h3>\n

It reminded us of the \u2018bad Christmas Sweaters\u2019 parties<\/a> to celebrate the Christmas Season. However, Caf\u00e9 van Zanten<\/a> on the Meent in Rotterdam celebrates the start of the summer season with a necktie free get together on their sunny terrace (They expect 27 degrees Celsius this Friday).<\/p>\n

The rules are simple, on the 7th of July, Caf\u00e9 van Zanten’s guests get a fresh draft beer in exchange for a frivolous tie. A good chance that the old owner of the tie will see his tie again in this bar in Rotterdam because they actually are going to be worn by the waiters. “We want to reward the man of Rotterdam for the hard work and treat them to an ice cold beer. The ties that are being donated for a beer will be worn by the waiters of the bar.”, says Herman Hell – owner of Caf\u00e9 van Zanten.<\/p>\n
