To do so, a special burger and fries sauce called \u2018Wiedewietsaus\u2019 has been developed. The biologic cannabis-infused mayonnaise is an ode to the Dutch and Amsterdam weed culture. The Wiedewietsaus is served in three hospitality businesses of the Ter Marsch family. This April Fools&#8217; Day joke was so successful that they will be selling the Wiedewietsauce as from the end of this month.\u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Ter Marsch &amp; Co<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Since the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Termarschcorotterdam\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ter Marsch &amp; Co<\/a> burger concept was launched in Rotterdam, the \u2018brand\u2019 got a lot of attention. The entrepreneurs were recognized and approached by the NH Carlton Amsterdam Hotel in order to implement the successful concept in the former restaurant on the corner of the \u2018Vijzelstraat\u2019 and \u2018De Bloemenmarkt\u2019. In a year, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/termarschcoamsterdam\/?ref=ts&amp;fref=ts\" target=\"_blank\">Ter Marsch &amp; Co Amsterdam<\/a> managed to build a big burger fan base. In order to celebrate the anniversary, the entrepreneurs launched the special Wiedewietsaus.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Wiedewietsaus<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Headchef Olaf Oldenburg said: \u201cThe Wiedewietsaus, is an ode to Amsterdam. The Dutch weed culture and the rise of superfood inspired us. For thousands of years, the hemp plant was an important product for humanity. The plant was not only used as a stimulant by our ancestors, but cannabis seeds also has been a nutritious food source for centuries. Raw cannabis leaves are increasingly used in households as they give a unique flavor to dressings and pesto\u2019s. Moreover, in the past decade, more hemp-based foods were to be found in the shelves of supermarkets.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3><strong>About the Ter Marsch family<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The first Ter Marsch &amp; Co burger concept launched at the Witte de Withstraat in Rotterdam in the beginning of 2014. Shortly after the opening, Ter Marsch &amp; Co won several prizes at hospitality exhibition Horecava. Their concept got rewarded with prizes such as the \u2018Beste Hamburger van Rotterdam\u2019 (Best burger of Rotterdam) and the \u2018Beste Burger van Nederland\u2019 (Best burger in the Netherlands). In March 2016 a pop-up concept opened in the heart of Amsterdam, just around the corner of the Vijzelstraat \/ De Bloemenmarkt. Furthermore, this pop-up concept was rewarded as best burger bar in Amsterdam. The most recent concept, Caf\u00e9 Ter Marsch, that opened earlier this year can be found at the Witte de Withstraat in Rotterdam as well. Caf\u00e9 Ter Marsch is a hotspot for lunch, dinner and drinks.
