Not only hotels need to live up to the needs and wishes of this increasing group but also the cities need to offer more.<\/p>\n

Hotels who want to be part of the Women Sensitive Hotels platform, are able to sign up on their website. After the sign up, their rooms, the hotel facilities, the ambiance and the location will be checked. After the check is decided whether the hotel can claim the label \u2018Women Sensitive Hotel\u2019. Thus creating another group of female potential guests. The website provides hotels with PR, marketing and special offers on the website.<\/p>\n

Inspiration<\/h3>\n

In Amsterdam we have a hotel for women only; Hostelle<\/a>. In the last couple of years we also spotted initiatives as a whole floor with female friendly hotel rooms<\/a> in hotels. In 2011 we wrote about a female friendly hotel room, based on gimmicks like a make-up table, a full length mirror, female magazines and easy to use electronics. Well the period of gimmicks is over! Feeling save is nowadays essential for women in hotels, so think for example about well-lit parking spaces for women in the vicinity of the entrance.
