Will these Skyline cable cars replace the hop-on hop-off busses in Chicago in the future? It could become Chicago\u2019s unique feature like the Eiffel Tower in Paris or the London Eye. <!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>Skyline Chicago<\/h3>\n<p>The \u2018Chicago skyline\u2019 is designed by architecture firms <a href=\"http:\/\/www.davisbrody.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Davis Brody Bond<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marksbarfield.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Marks Barfield<\/a>. If initiated it will be a top aerial tourist attraction linking the navy pier, the Chicago lakefront, and the riverwalk, with downtown Chicago.<\/p>\n<p>If you have ever been to Chicago, the route of the Skyline is clear, showing Chicago\u2019s architectural heritage with stations near Millennium Park and Michigan avenue, with a starting point at Wacker drive and Lake street in the west to the Navy Pier in the East. The skyline cable cars are designed to carry up to 3.000 people per hour and the route is a 30 minute tour. The project is currently in its initial stages and hasn\u2019t been seeking local approval yet.
