Upcoming weekend the fifth edition of the Lentebock Festival will be held at the \u2018Ledig Erf\u2019 in Utrecht. Three days long you can try over twenty different kinds of Lentebock beers and rank them. Based on the rankings the winner will be chosen, this beer can be called the best Lentebock beer of the year.<\/p>\n

New setting<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Last year, the residents who live near the \u2018Ledig Erf\u2019 complained about the festival being too big for the festival grounds, so this year there has been chosen for a new setting. The festival grounds will be fenced and won\u2019t be accessible for bicycles. Besides that, only a limited number of visitors will be allowed. Beer lovers should better be on time to avoid disappointments.<\/p>\n

Topbock<\/strong><\/h3>\n

During the festival you can taste over twenty different kinds of beer, all these beers can be rated on a special made assessment form<\/a>. As visitor you can decide which and how many beers you want to rate. By handing in your assessment form you have the chance to win a Lentebock price package. The beer with the highest ranking will earn the title \u2018Topbock\u2019. Last year this title was earned by \u2018Kompaan Lente\u2019 from \u2018Kompaan\u2019. The \u2018Jopen Lentebock\u2019 of \u2018Jopen Brouwerij\u2019 became second and \u2018Brouwerij Maximus\u2019 ended third with their \u2018Maximus Violante\u2019.<\/p>\n

Beer tasting<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Also this year there will be a beer tasting. This will be presented by Ruud Korteschiel and \u2018de Mannen van het Fust\u2019. You will taste five different bock beers and rate them. Also, there will be more explained about the different bock beers, brewing processes and the breweries.<\/p>\n

Lentebock Festival information<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The festival is freely accessible and will take place on the 1st<\/sup>, 2nd<\/sup> and 3rd<\/sup> of April in Utrecht.
