What began as a joke on Facebook has now turned into the first Nutella Festival of the Netherlands, wich will take place on the 16th<\/sup> of July in Amsterdam.<\/p>\n

Nutella Festival<\/strong><\/h3>\n

It started as a joke, a Facebook page named \u2018Nutella Festival<\/a>\u2019. But after one day over 5.000 people had signed up for the festival and 13.000 others said to be interested in it. Therefore initiator Akie Hamam decided to set up the festival and organise it on a large scale. Good news for the chocolate lover! The event will take place on the 16th<\/sup> of July from 13:00 o\u2019clock till 23:00 o\u2019clock and will be held at the \u2018Stadspodium\u2019 grounds of Amsterdam, that will be opened in April. The festival grounds can hold about 10.000 visitors. During the \u2018Nutella Festival<\/a>\u2019 there will be place for 7.000 Nutella lovers. In the meantime approximately 3.700 tickets are sold.<\/p>\n

It is the first time that this festival is coming to the Netherlands. The first Nutella Festival ever will be held in April this year, in Australia<\/a>. The festival is not (yet) sponsored by Nutella itself.<\/p>\n

Variations with Nutella<\/strong><\/h3>\n

As you can guess by the name, the culinary event will be all about the hazelnut paste of Nutella. There will be over 100 different dishes and snacks that are made with Nutella. According to Akie Hamam there are dishes like fruit shakes with Nutella, pancakes, desserts and also savoury dishes and even insects with Nutella. If you want a break from eating all that chocolate, there will also be burgers and salads without Nutella. \u201cThere will be several live bands and food trucks. We do everything to make the event as professional as possible\u201d, says Akie.<\/p>\n

The fries with Nutella from cafeteria \u2018Piet Friet\u2019 in Roermond (the Netherlands) should not be missed in my opinion. His combination draw a lot of attention from the media last couple of weeks. Everything that is sold with Nutella seems to work at the moment.<\/p>\n

Tickets <\/strong><\/h3>\n

An entrance ticket<\/a> is required if you want to visit the Nutella Festival. The ticket sale is in different phases. The prices vary from \u20ac8,- tot \u20ac12,-.
