In Shanghai the Pudong Kangqiao branded hotel is built. The hotel features a swimming pool, located at the 24th floor of the hotel. It is a 30 meters long swimming pool and is hanging over the edge of the building. Unique about this swimming pool is that there is a glass floor. You are swimming 24 floors above the ground with nothing but a floor of glass underneath!

OOIIO Architecture designed an open space on the lower level of a new hotel in Reykjavik that can be used as a theater, including restaurants, shops and the hotel lobby facing it. 'Blueseed' is co-founded by Max Marti, Dario Mutabdzija and lead by Peter Thiel. The floating city will be located in international waters of the Silicon Valley and is especially designed for starting entrepreneurs. The Blueseed project offers living space, work space and entertaiment facilities to foreign start-ups. Hotelier Carlos Couturier has converted a water purification into a 19th-century hotel. The hotel has a 30 meter pool. The edges of the pool been of glass, that gives a nice effect and view.

The Water Discus Hotel in Dubai is a hotel that is partially located under water. The 21 rooms are below the surface of the sea. The windows of the rooms are high, so you have a good view of the sea life. The restaurant, spa and reception are above the waterline. It's unknown when the hotel opens.
