Swedish student Lena Louise Meyer designed a table on which vegetables grow. The Sprout Table combines traditional craft with a modern design, is eco-friendly and brings enviromental growth in your house.

The Swedish-American company Plantagon placed its first shovel into the ground in Linkoping (Sweden). A few years ago they already had plans to post greenhouses in large cities. Watch the video.

Penquin Hug neck bands is a collar that works cooling through the basis of evaporative cooling from micro-crystals. The collars are environmentally friendly and reusable.

British design studio Black+Blum designed a bottle that filters tap water, Eau Good. The design is based on an old Japanese filter system with the help of carbon filters. These filters reduce chlorine and chemicals and add minerals to the water to keep the pH balanced. The active carbon filter lasts up to 6 months.  

Halfsies is a social initiative, offering restaurant visitors a choice that provides a healthier meal portion. They also reduce food waste and supports the fight against hunger. Now Halfsies starts a pilot with local restaurants for participation in it's program. This spring they start in Austin, Texas and New York City. Watch the video for an explanation behind Halfsies.

The German company Keienburg GmbH developed an eco-friendly cardbord packaging for carbonated drinks. It allows both a greener and cheaper production process and benefit consumers with a beverage which stays cool for a longer period.

Rotterdam creates the first rooftop farm in the area. It is located on the roof of a office complex at the Schiekade. The walking bridge to the farm land is financed by crowdfunding.

Starbucks recycled shipping containers to a Starbucks coffee shop in Tukwila, Washington. Starbucks used in total four shipping containers to build the coffee shop, it is decorated in the style that people would expect from Starbucks. The coffee shop is a initiative from Starbucks to stimulate the use of green buildings and environmental design in the retail. Another keen example of container upcycling.
